York, UK – 14 October 2025 – In an exciting new initiative aimed at equipping students with essential entrepreneurial skills, York College has partnered with Earniversity to deliver the exclusive Pioneer Programme to its Year 12 and 13 students. Running from 15 October to the end of January, this one-term programme will see York College students embark on an immersive journey designed to prepare them for real-world challenges and opportunities.
Earniversity's Pioneer Programme will introduce students to a range of modern money-earning skills including:
1. Content Creation
2. Reselling
3. In-person Services
4. Freelancing
5. Affiliate Marketing
6. Success Mindset
7. Employability
8. Entrepreneurship
9. Finances
10. Confidence
...and Ecommerce training on how to start and run their own online shops.
These sessions will be hosted in Earniversity's state-of-the-art Digital Academy, offering live and interactive coaching from world-class mentors. The programme will not only focus on building practical business skills but also on fostering confidence and resilience, ensuring students are well-prepared for whatever comes next.
The programme has already sparked excitement among students.
One student shared their thoughts on the opportunity: "Last year, I studied A-level business, economics, and finance but found it lacked the practical skills I wanted. I’ve always been interested in making money and starting my own business, and this course feels like the real-world experience I need to bring those dreams to life."
Alex Godfrey, project lead for York College said: “One of the reasons we decided to offer this exciting programme was to experiment with a different way of actively engaging young people, from all backgrounds and experience, in education that is meaningful to them. Our intention is to tap into their potential, explore their understanding of how to earn money and develop transferable skills for life and work. “

As part of the programme, students will also participate in assessments and receive valuable feedback on their progress. They will be connected through a Slack community, where they can engage with peers, share insights, and support each other throughout the programme. At the end of the course, they will be awarded certificates of completion, endorsements, and further opportunities for growth.
